“Damn Sheed, what made you come out?” Big asked.

“I'm just trying to take this shit more seriously, plus, since we've been moving more weight than usual, I need to talk about an increase in shipment.” Big looked annoyed. “Is that cool with you?” I asked.

With a grin, Big replied, “Of course, you're the boss. I'm just an employee.”

I could tell this muthafucka was plotting; I shook my head. We met up with Castro way out in the south suburbs. He had a huge estate, with acres of land, all surrounded by a tall iron gate. The three of us sat at a table in his backyard next to the pool. His security stood around in all-black like the fuckin’ secret service.

Castro walked out like the boss he was, “Sheed, what a pleasure to see you. How long has it been?” I shook his hand with a grin.

“I know; it's been a minute, but you'll be seeing more of me from now on. I want to get more work to cover the increase in sales. We need to get about twenty bricks. Is that good for you?” I asked.

Big looked like he was going to pass out, but I smiled. “Did you bump your head? You have been getting twenty bricks for 500, like always.”

I put on a face of confusion. “I've been getting fifteen bricks for 500.” He stood up and leaned over the table.

“I think you need to get your team on the same page.” Castro said, eyeing Big.

Castro hated for a muthafucka to make him look like a fool, and he only dealt with me because of my pops. He had a lot of love and respect for Kory, but he never like dealing with Big. He only dealt with him, because my pops left him in charge, and because they knew I wasn't planning to fuck with this shit for long.

“Big, how much work had you been getting? I've been counting fifteen every time you brought it to me.”

See, we had an increase in sales, so we upped the bricks we got. We didn't know he was giving up twenty bricks of pure Colombian product for 500.

“Um, I've been getting twenty. Wasn't Keon counting it before you got it? I mean, the lil’ nigga was stealing cash.” I had to laugh at this nigga.

“You right. I'm going to check on that shit later, but for now, Devo, get the bricks, and put them in the car.”

We had Jay’s first cousin, T, on payroll. He was a Chicago Police Officer, and this crazy muthafucka transported the work in the trunk of an old squad car that didn't have cameras. The fool even wore his uniform; shit worked like a charm.

Before we left, Castro pulled me aside, “Sheed, what the hell is going on? Is someone really stealing from you? I mean, I know I'm just your supplier, but your pops was like a brother to me, and I told him I would look out for you.”

I told Castro about the shit that was going on.
